Diary of a Youth Minister

Life as a Youth Minister can be tiring, emotionally draining and really, really hard work ... but it's also masses of fun! And I get to see God working in the lives of young people, which is a massive privilege! This is my diary. It's a bit of a rollercoaster at times. Enjoy the ride! If you have any comments on my blog (positive or negative!) please email me at ant@stmikesyouth.org.

Christmas in Derbyshire

Sorry ... I've been a bit of a lazy blogger this week!

Laura and I travelled up to my Mum and Dad's in the early hours of Christmas morning after spending all day Christmas Eve with her Grandad (including a meal which was easily up to the usual Hobbs standards ... probably better!).

We've had a great time up here with Mum and Dad and Rachael, Dean and Zac. Christmas Day was lovely (even more good food and cool presents!) and yesterday Laura, Dad and I went to watch Derby County. It's the first time I've been to see them in well over a year, and, of course, they lost. Still, it was nice to go.

We're heading back to Bristol tomorrow and I'm back at work on Friday. I've still got a sermon to write for this Sunday, so I'm going to have to get my head down to some serious work!

Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone!
